Why Are We Running this Program?
- The biggest factor in predicting kid’s spiritual health as young adults is whether they read the Bible regularly as kids (Lifeway Research).
- In 2019, 48% of Americans said they interact with the Bible infrequently if at all and it has minimal impact on their lives (Barna).
- Biblical illiteracy is staggering. Since the 1970s, the percent of people who believe the bible is only myths and fables has doubled from 13% to 26% in 2017 (Gallup).
- Only 32% of protestant churchgoers say they read their Bible every day (Lifeway Research).
WORD with Zach is designed to encourage daily devotions and, more importantly, daily BIBLE reading that will help not only fight biblical illiteracy but help kids have a passion for Christ through a deep relationship with Him.
